Editorial Governance & Clinical Safety

How AcePharm protects the quality of its learning content.

Pharmacy education demands absolute clinical accuracy. Every question, rationale, calculation, and AI tutor response is held to rigorous clinical, educational, and editorial standards before reaching UK pharmacy learners.

Section 1 Clinical Integrity

1. Clinical Accuracy Commitment

AcePharm is committed to uncompromising clinical accuracy and patient safety across all revision resources. Every scenario is written to reflect contemporary UK clinical pharmacy practice, incorporating current dosing standards, contraindications, drug-drug interactions, therapeutic drug monitoring protocols, and high-risk medication safety alerts. Content undergoes scheduled annual re-validation and is expedited for immediate revision whenever the MHRA, NICE, or the BNF publish new clinical guidance, safety alerts, or formula updates.

Section 2 Multi-Stage Workflow

2. Question Authoring and Review Process

No question is ever published directly upon creation. Every scenario moves through a multi-stage editorial lifecycle: Draft → Awaiting Clinical Review → Changes Requested → Awaiting Editorial Review → Approved → Scheduled → Published. Questions are mapped to the GPhC registration assessment blueprint weightings and designed to test higher-order cognitive application and clinical evaluation rather than passive recall. Every option—both the key answer and plausible clinical distractors—must include comprehensive, evidence-grounded rationales explaining precisely why each choice is clinically appropriate or unsuitable.

Section 3 Evidence Grounding

3. Guideline Grounding & Citations Policy

Every clinical explanation and calculation breakdown on AcePharm is directly grounded in authoritative UK clinical sources: the British National Formulary (BNF), BNF for Children (BNFC), NICE Guidelines, Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS), and MHRA Drug Safety Updates. Explanations cite specific BNF chapters, guideline paragraphs, and published therapeutic tables so students can verify the primary evidence base and build habits of professional enquiry required in qualified practice.

Section 4 AI Safety Framework

4. Clinical AI Governance and Boundaries

Ace AI operates under strict clinical and safety boundaries. Ace only answers from retrieved, human-reviewed AcePharm content—it is strictly prohibited from answering from unverified training data or external web scraping. Ace never publishes content directly to the question bank. Question generators are architecturally separated from human approvers. Every AI explanation carries source citations, and user feedback routes directly to the human clinical editorial queue. Ace never provides patient-specific medical advice or clinical prescribing recommendations.

Section 5 Human Sign-Off

5. Pharmacist Review and Approval Sign-offs

Every published question, calculation tutorial, rationale, and learning point requires explicit sign-off by a qualified UK registered pharmacist. We maintain strict separation of duties: authors and AI generators can never approve or publish their own material. Every live question displays transparent editorial provenance, including its unique Question ID, the date of its last clinical review, and confirmation of sign-off by the AcePharm Clinical Editorial Team.

Section 6 Editorial Independence

6. Conflict of Interest Disclosures

AcePharm maintains complete editorial impartiality. All clinical authors, contributors, and editorial reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest, including advisory roles, research funding, or affiliations with pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare entities. Content decisions are made solely for educational value and clinical relevance. AcePharm does not accept commercial sponsorship, paid product placements, or industry funding that could influence question framing or therapeutic rationales.

Section 7 Independence Declaration

7. Clear Statement of Independence from the GPhC and Royal Pharmaceutical Society

AcePharm is an entirely independent educational revision platform developed by UK clinical pharmacists. AcePharm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by, or partnered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). Our questions, mock assessments, calculation tutorials, and learning tools are independently developed to support pharmacy students and foundation trainees preparing for registration assessments, but they do not constitute official publications, examination papers, or regulatory guidance of the statutory regulator or the professional leadership body.
